Goughie needs to sort out his celebration too, standing with his hands in the air as if he was king. It helps to get him out BEFORE he's smashed 80, Goughie

We need 312 to win and a maiden is bowled first up.

If we get over 300 I'll be very very surprised.

35-1 off 10 overs. That will be about that then. Que a load of daft shots once the run rate gets to over 7.5 and all out for 180. Arguably not really the batsmens fault - they're being set up by bowlers giving them daft totals to aim at.

Now that it's even more impossible for them to chase the runs, i'd like to see Jones and Vaughan get a hundred each.

If you want to see vaughan get a 100 Pete, you might have to ask the ICC to extend ODIs to 70 overs pe r side. 18 off 37 balls.

He's just run out Strauss too. I'm beginning to think that it's not just before the match that he's a useless tosser

He has upped the tempo a bit (50 off 69 balls) but I fear its too late. Maybe our current one day golden boy can give it some welly.

It just shows how different test and ODIs are. Unless we hit the self destruct button in the tests we were never really in trouble but apart from the first OD we've been caned. As it stands at the moment we're likley to get no more than 270, 40 runs short, which is a long, long way off the pace. DO you think if we ask the saffers nicely they'll bowl under arm for us ?
