6th ODI, S. Africa vs. England, Feb 11, @ Kingsmead

Didn't think I could but I may have to take King Ern's place in starting the pre-match thread.

The game should be interesting tonight. I would think that England will win provided Harmison comes in and i also think it is a good time to bring in Anderson or Wharf---probably Anderson.

To finish with an Ern Line, this thread is for any pre match thoughts news and discussion.

Team news and the toss

From The Guardian:

Pre-amble: South Africa have won the toss and, not surprisingly seeing as this Durban pitch looks at belter, have elected to bat. (That's another 300 on the board, then.) England have brought in Alex Wharf for Matthew Hoggard, while South Africa have dropped AB de Villiers and Nicky Boje for Adam Bacher and Andrew Hall.

Vaughan needs to start calling tails. After so many lost tosses always calling heads, surely he should realise heads isn't always the way to call?

Vaughan is shockingly unlucky when it comes to the toss one has to admit, hopefully English bowlers will have learnt after conceeding 290+ runs two times in a row how to bowl 1)up front 2)in the middle and 3)at the death

I don't understand why SA have dropped Boje, can someone please explain. Thanks in advance.

The reasoning for dropping Boje is that they think it will swing all the way through.
