I don't understand why we ahve a bad ODI record... We have a brilliant ODI squad at least on par with our test squad maybe just not as big hitters as some countrys..
I would choose: Tresco, Solanki, Vaughan, Bell, Pietersen over any other starting five... (Vaughan to settle things incase theirs a couple of early wickets...)

Dipenaar and Langeveldt impress. Was surprised to know that Dippenaar has an ODI average of 41+!! Any idea why Ontong replaced Prince?

Dippenar is a rather unexpectedly a much better one-day player then test player - I still recall his tour to Pakistan in 2003, where he was man of the series in the one-days but had a shocker in the tests.

Yeah, I have to say that Dippenear doesn't look the part in tests. He doesn't exude confidence, and too often he gives his wicket away. He doesn't look a test class player, and also he has an extremely small head, which gives me the creeps!

Well he did make a decent 110 vs. England at PE earlier in the summer, yet Dippennaar is very much an ODI player. He may do the odd fill in when a Rudolph or a Prince is unable to play, but doubtful we will se him become a permanent Test fixture for the South Africans.
