Ern's bias has got the better of him. Giles an ODI allrounder? Don't really think so. And Read over Sangakkara? Whats going on?!?!?! The bloke isn't even playing international cricket!!

LOL bias I don't think so. I picked six Engishmen in a squad, not a team.
Like it or not, Giles is an all rounder these days, he bowls negative (just the job for one days stuff), and is no bunny with the bat.

yep what does that matter, I think Read should be playing internaional cricket for England, like he was not long ago, and Paoli not just me holds that view

If we are talking purely wicket keeping read is the best I've seen. I havent seen Akmal so I cant comment. If read comes in at 7, in a 50 over slog fest there is no way he should even be seen with a bat in his hand.

Um.. I believe this thread's about a World ODI XI to play Australia.. so you can't really have Lee and Warne in there! I'm also a tad confused: if you were picking a World ODI XI to include Aussies.. don't you think you'd need to find places for Ponting, Gilchrist, McGrath and Gillespie?
