2nd Natwest Series ODI - Ban vs Aus (sophia gardens)

Is anyone watching this??? as i speak Bangladesh need 56 off 48 balls with 7 wkts left!

Now even if they dont pull off a shock result... the performance of the aussies has been poor all round. Another chink? Or just Aussie complacency?

Come on you Bangles!!

Bet I've jinxed them now by getting excited!

Yea I've been watching this all day. Bashar has just run himself out in shocking fashion. Amazing stuff, nonetheless.

Ashraful gone for exactly 100. Looks like their lack of experience of winning is going to tell, still a great effort though

Yes well done Bangladesh.

Bangladesh batted well, but Australia's bowlers just did not have the answers.

Ern, I may be getting carried away after 3 matches, but i am coming round to your point of view about these aussies, maybe the years are catching up, the bowling seems to be missing some penetration, and the fielding... well is basically of the standard we used to see from england in the 90's!?

Of course they probably wont lose another game all summer now!!!

I have just finished watching the match, boy I'm glad I squeezed this in my shcedule...I've witnissed history being made.

I would rate this as the biggest upset ever in cricket history.

I thought Bangladesh played fantastic cricket all the way, their bowling was amazing to start with, and although they conceeded a few too many in the last 10 in general considering the quality of the opposition they were playing against it was a fantastic effort. Then the batting...at 3 down for 80 something I thought it was going to be a usual end for them but then Ashraful and Bashar put on a fantastic partnerhsip, they were helped by some very ordinary bowling by Brad Hogg and the part timers but credit to them still...when they lost Ashraful towards the end ...I had given up hope but then come the last over when 7 were required...19 year old Aftab Ahmed comes out and hits a six of Dizzy of the very first ball..the rest is history...!

My word, you should have seen the celebrations and better still...the look on Ponting's face...worth a million dollars I would say! This must be the best cricket match I have ever watched. Needless to say I'm very very happy, this should give a goood lesson to those who don't think B'desh should be playing international cricket.

Congrats to the Tigers, and to their long faithful 150 million fans. You deserve this!

And may I add that the captaincy was particularly dissapointing. How can you explain not having a third man / fine leg in a close match towards the closing stages...I counted at least 2 fours being hit in that area behind the wicket just when the match was on even keel...Ponting kept on talking to his bowlers almost every ball...I have not seen him this animated before...yet he got some of his field placing all mixed up.
