Good job done by the England bowlers - nice team work. I think that even with the conditions being in their favour, England bowled very well indeed (apart from the first five overs, which were shocking!!!).

That spell were four overs passed with no runs scored represented some of the best one day bowling I've seen - the Aussies couldn't BUY a run, not a sniff of one!!

I was a little surprised that Colly and Gilo bowled as much as the did, but it seemed to work out o.k in the end; as they both bowled soildly enough.

Well, I'm sure it won't be a stroll in the park for England this afternoon, but I think that England wre on their way to a fine win - just want to get a solid start to the innings.

The fact that Flintoff only bowled 8 overs in those conditions was a major tactical error on Vaughans part. With Australia at 5-93, he could have brought Flintoff and Hamison on and gone for the throat. But he did'nt and allowed Symonds and Hussey to stablise the innings. Ausralia probably got 30-40 more runs than they should of i thimk, and those runs could prove vital.

Might have happend, might not of...it's easy to say in hindsight. I would personally have kept Harmison on myself, let him bowl himself out, but it's easy to say that from the comfort of the lounge!!

It may also be that Vaughan had the right reading of the game, what was happening, I don't know. I agree it was most likely a tactical error, but not a major one I don't think.

I see Brett Lee just tried to remove Trecothicks head - good work by Trescothick to get out of the way. I'll assume that was an accident by Lee! Mind you, Shep gave him a talking too!!

McGrath picks Tresco up cheaply for the third time in a row. Tresco will be having some sleepless nights leading into the Ashes methinks. Batting is looking VERY difficult at the moment. Australia has three slips. 197 is going to be a huge task on this wicket.

Strauss falls cheaply for the third time in a row. Once again, it is his weakness - the full ball on the stumps at pace. The Aussies have done their homework on him, thats for sure.

Vaughn gone... Excuse me while I dance around the lounge room!

No, acctualy I dont think Vaughn was a big wicket. Pieterson is the one we need to get.
