Ahhh! GO Jones - just the man to play sensibly in a crisis. I'd love to hear the Ernest / Beny take on how this innings is going!

It's a flat pitch I presume, and we're crumbling under the pressure of good bowling. C'mon boys - fight it out, and let's get 200 at least!

Unless Solanki scores a very quick hundred (HA!) that was possibly he worst substituion since ..Chelseas old manger (italian bloke dont remember his name) cocked it up in a euro semi final.

Why the hell did he replace a bowler????? Do we not need to bowl the aussies out? I think it was right to substitute the extra batsman in, but why did he not replace someone like Strauss (who would not really be missed in the field)

Solanki would not have been able to bat if he had replaced Strauss (once a player is out he can't bat again... and that doesn't change even if he is substituted).

Ah right. I must admit, I've paid absolutely no attention to the rule changes.......as everyone can now evidently see.

Good sub IMO... Giles can take some wickets and he can also dry up runs to less that 3 an over easily. Solanki can really do a good job and I hope he plays the innings of his life now.

Headache for the selectors now with Gilespie, Kaspa and Lee all bowling well. English batsmen out of their depth as they have been from the start of the series with only difficult bowling conditions aiding them to get a decent score.

Controversial, Probebly. Arrogant, mabey. But I stand by everything I've said.

Ha, ha, Beny, just typical Aussie!!

As it happens I agree with you, although as I've said before, I think Aussie are starting to play typically, whereas England seem to be self destructing and can play so much better.

More a headache for the English selectors i think. That wicket is a belter. Consistent bounce and little sideways movement. Aussies are starting to peak at the right time and England are starting to go off the boil. Some are saying this game has no bearing on the tests but the confidence of the Eng top order must be dented big time. Not what they need 10 days out from the main game.
