2nd Videocon ODI: NZ vs India

Dear oh dear. I wouldn't want to be an Indian fan watching this match. NZ struggled to 210 all out after being 30-odd for 5.... However, Bond and one-time Essex all-rounder Andre Adams have bowled well to leave India languishing at 44 - 7 with Agarkar and Yadav now at the crease. Marshall's catch to remove Sehwag was apparently nothing short of breath taking!

Come on NZ!!

My God! I dont believe Shane Bond! Great stuff from him after such a long layoff! Mind blowing stuff! If it wasnt for him....! For me he's no.1! Good to see Jai Prakash Yadav make good use of the opportunity but Venugopal was disappointing...I watched this match only for Bond and India's new guys. God save India...

Dismal batting performances, 1 less match at Captain for Gunguly( did i spell it right?), and where was the haileded Dravid today, maybe it justify's his non-selection in World XI. Bravo Bond, cementing place on team.

Good win NZ, though I am not surprised.

Dont write off Dravid off so soon. He's Mr.Dependable to the last bit but he's not a machine, you'll see he will come up with a good knock sooner or later.

Dravid was a bit unlucky with his dismissal, played it on his stumps. Others like Kaif, Yuvraj, Sehwag and Ganguly got out in far more ugly fashion, most of their dismissals to do with useless pokes out side thier off stumps.

The super sub rule seemed to have worked birlliant for New Zealand. Shane Bond actually came on a super sub after the break to replace Nathan Astle. And the rest as they say is history.

I expected an average batting performance to be honest, but 44-8 is just utterly apalling.

I think its time that Chappell discarded some of the 'stars' of the team, rather than putting blame to VVS Laxman all the time. They need to play as if their next game is their last, and only then will they start performing if you ask me.

Just thought i'd remind you that Bonds figues of 6-19 off 9 overs is the best return for a NZ bowler and Bond now has the best strike rate in world cricket..... oh and how about that inswinging yorker to get Sehwag

Sehwag didn't get bowled by the inswinging yorker. It was Venugopala Rao who was bowled by Bond's inswinging yorker, first ball.
