Good from Anth Ireland. Eight wickets in four matches. Rarely do Zim bowlers make such a presence early on. One for the future.
Only recent bowler I can think of is Twanda Mupariwa. I always thought he got a rough deal too. He wasnt the fastest bowler, and he didnt get the most movement, but he was a thinking bowler and he had good control and great variation. He also has an ODI average of 27.19, yet he cant get into a squad containing Waddy Mwayenga!

You really should give players a bagging more often - Mahwire strikes again in the same fashion. Dravid gone, very big wicket!

Another wicket! Dravid out bowled by Mahwire! Perhaps he heard my backside kick! 3-34, Zimbabwe favourites.

This must be worrying for Indian fans, Dravid has now got bowled each and every single time in this tournament...that's making it four innings in a row to get bowled!

He chopped it on this time though.

Think of a typical Sehwag dismissal, and thats how he got out...

A bit of a partnership building here, and Im sure we'll see spin from both ends as of next over.

Im backing Ewing to take care of Yuvraj.

Good Victory

Good batting display by the lower middle order, especially Yuvraj alongwith Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Venugopala Rao batted patiently for a while but then, Yuvraj and Dhoni's record 6th wicket partnership ensured an easy win for India. India were at one stage 91-5, when Dhoni walked in, but he proved his worth to the team. Yuvraj just got out before the match ended. The best thing about Dhoni is his thinking mind, not an all-out slogger, but he plays according to the situation. Just as the match comes to a closing stage, he starts clobbering the ball over the ropes, be it a fast bowler or a spinner, and seals the match with ease. Well done India. The top order needs to fire though!

Surprisingly most of us (including myself!) did not give India a chance after they lost their 1st 4 wkts! Yuvraj-Dhoni batted very well but I was disppointed by Venugopal being runout...he can really be a very good batsman but needs a good innings to get the confidence...I rate him higher than Kaif. Murali Kartik was very disappointing. I dunno when his next ODi will come but he's got to do something quickly before he's forgotten. Coventry-Taibu batted very well, not to forget Blignaut! ZIM need a proper body to manage their cricket and I'm sure they can do as well as SRL.
