Sixes Tournament

I've heard a little about this upcoming series, but not much. Can anyone enlighten me? Is it televised, or what?

It's the first I've heard of it. Now you have me intrigued. What teams are playing?

Is this the Hong Kong Sixes tournament? If so, it was won last year by an English team which included Dimitri Mascarenhas, Matthew Maynard, Kabir Ali and Graham Napier (and 3 others that I can't remember)

That's the tournament I'm thinking of. Google brings up this page - I don't know how old it is but it provides a little information on the format:

Try this site for size, all the info on this year's tournament. The page takes a while to load over dial-up, but it gives you all the info you should need.

http://www.cricinfo.com/db/ARCHIVE/2...OTHERS/HKG-6S/

The squads: England: Robert Croft (Captain), Kabir Ali, Dimi Mascarenhas, Chris Read, Alex Wharf, Darren Maddy, Dominic Cork
Pakistan: Moin Khan, Yasir Arafat, Navid Latif, Mohammad Hafeez, Tahir Khan, Kamran Hussain, Riaz Afridi
Australia: Tim Nielsen, Dane Andersen, Liam Buchanan, Beau Casson, Daniel Christian, Nathan Rearden, Ken Skewes
South Africa: Gerald Dros, Ahmed Amla, Adam Bacher, Goolam Bodi, William Hantam, Tyron Hendersen, Eugene Moleon

Other squads yet to be named

That looks like strong English and Pakistani sides (i've heard of most of the players). I've heard of about half the Saffers, but NONE of the Aussie. Any Aussie fans out there with any details of these players?

England is assured of a Semi final place whereas Pakistan has been knocked out after it defeated South Africa but lost to India.

INDIA WON! Robin Singh, one of my favorite ODI players, was leading the team. Damn, I wish I could've seen it.

The matches were shown in Ten Sports. India lost the first game to W Indies, then beat South Africa and Pakistan. In the semi finals, India beat Sri Lanka while West Indies beat England. The finals was really one sided, Indian bowlers:Chopra,Sodhi,Bangar,Kanitkar and Sunil Joshi bowled really well. In the run chase, Robin Singh displayed a cool head on his shoulders and helped India win with delicate cuts. Sodhi was declared player of the tournament.
