Ah Well Greg! You can't have it all, first you're asking Kiwi fans how long Bond will take to get injured, but now it's big KP who has.

Series is needed in fact; for a number of reasons- this series will make cricket a bigger game worldwide and I like the theory of "The best vs. the rest". But it's just as much about entertainment unfortunately, as we see with Shoaib being there.

And the ridiculous workload of players, I don't agree either. They moan and groan but have a look at the breaks they get in between series. England vs. South Africa is a case in point- 5 tests in forty days, followed by a four and a half month break till a hitout against Bangladesh and then some ODI's followed by tests against Australia. And they still have 2 months to get prepared for the next tour. I don't think the workload is ridiculous, rather the planning is stupid.

The selectors are not responsible for this shambles: they might not have picked the PERFECT team.. but they DID produce an EXCELLENT team. We can argue all we like that Gayle should have played for Sehwag, that Inzi should have played ahead of Dravid, that Vaas should have played ahead of Akhtar and so on... but the side that took the field SHOULD have beaten Australia.

The bowling was generally adequate... and in both games the start the RoW got into a position from which they should have been able to compete. Whilst perhaps not the IDEAL trio in the middle order... Kallis, Lara and Dravid should have been more than good enough to do the job.
