Question

I am quiet suprised to see that many people have chosen Virender Sehwag in their team, plus having him open the innings has really confused me. In ODI Sehwag is over-rated by many, he only averages in the 30's at International level same as in domestic cricket. There are many other openers in the game who could do miles better than Sehwag.

Im also suprised to see nobody has chosen Mehendra Singh Dhoni in their ODI team. I know all of you have been in the Pak and Eng hype but im sure you should have heard about the 183* he scored, absulotly amazing, he broke many records on the way also.

I come back on this forum and everybody seems to have gone quite bonkers. I can't blame you though its the England team performance lately. But its good to see that nobody has chosen Michael Vaughan!!!

Anyways here is my team:
  1. Sachin Tendulkar
  2. Adam Gilchrist (WK)
  3. Mahendra Singh Dhoni
  4. Rahul Dravid
  5. Inzimam ul Haq
  6. Kevin Pietersen
  7. Andrew Flintoff
  8. Brett Lee
  9. Shoiab Akhatar
  10. Muttiah Muralithran
  11. Glenn Macgrath

Actually, thinking on, I've taken out Sehwag and put Hussey in. Hussey has what is approaching a peerless record in ODIs in the middle order. I've bumped everyone else up the order and put Hussey in just ahead of Kemp. He's also a great captain. Think of those two batting together!

As for Dhoni, he has a way to go before surpassing Gilchrist as the greatest ever wicketkeeper-batsman ever to play ODIs. I did consider him though, he'd be my second choise as keeper.
