| kallis had been the rock of the first innings for India, however some great bowling from Ifran Pathan saw their score limited and resultingly giving India a very reachable target. Sehwag got the innings off to a fiery start, Tendulkar contributed and so did all the Indian batsmen apart from the super-sub, Gambhir. For me it was the toss that has been crucial in all of the games; with the early morning dew and swing on offer it allows the side fieliding first to have a real go at the batting side. Yet again India have shown that they are making good progress towards the 2007 World Cup, not only with good performances but ending the winning streak of a very good SA side.

| I'd still rate South Africa as second favourites for the next World Cup behind Australia, that is if McGrath keeps going for Aus and/or Warne comes back. |

| I don't think anyone can doubt that Australia are the favourites for the World Cup, their side is easily the best at the moment. They have a great squad available to them and the only two teams I could see beating them are India and South Africa IMO.

| ...and that's why they are second and third favourites in my book. The only thing is, if Australia lose McGrath they would be less restrictive in the bowling department. Also, England, the 5th best team, gave them a fair run for their money in the summer, with McGrath in the team. |
