| If it's 2-0 after the Monday game, it's likely that England will win. But it will not be under Michael Vaughan, who is not now in Pakistan. Marcus Trescothick is the man in charge.

| Would a man with a batting average of 24 and bowling average of 36 in ODIs make that much of a difference? Yes Afridi may have come out and gave the innings a good start but he is just as likely to get out first ball. |

| It would be wrong to say that he would have made a difference in the first match, because England played very well and once they'd scored 327 were always in the driving seat, it would discrediting England's efforts to say Afridi would have done this or that. To dismiss him on the basis of his average though is missing the point. Anyone who has followed him since his comeback to the national team would know that he has come of age. His performances at ODI level have been outstanding for almost two years now, not only with the bat but with the ball. He showed in India when along with Kaneria, he spun them to defeat in the final test match that he's a man for the big occasion. In the three matches he has to play I'd be surprised if he didn't have some impact. |

| It will 2-0 I think, if we have another batting performance like that then we will win. Chuck Palumbo - "Yes Afridi may have come out and gave the innings a good start but he is just as likely to get out first ball." Yes but if he stays in for 50 balls he can ruin you right away. But I do understand you point. |

| He purposely damaged the pitch during the second test against England, he was subsequently banned for the third test and the first two odi's as punishment. Pakistan didn't miss him in either of the odi's, England played above average in the first one and played their normal game in the second one, luck of the draw for odi's. The difference with afridi in the side again is that the victory margin should be larger for these last 3 games. |

| Pitch destroying apart, I like afradi, and as a pinch hitter, in theory, there shouldnt be any better. His bowling is normally quite effective (well it was in the tests) so as long as he behaves himself I'm looking forward to watching him.

| I`d agree with chuck.........does he really make a difference that often???.....sure the potential is there for him to turn a game ....if he can stay at the crease for an hour or so..........but if it`s only, on average, going to happen once every 4 or 5 games...he`s hardly the messiah (just a naughty boy He was supposed to turn Derbyshires season around a couple of years ago....and was a complete flop. Having said that.....he`s good to watch!!. |
