No, I think not. Having had a chance to look around a bit - and you need to look pretty hard! - I've found that the groups for the World Cup are already set. Link here to the relevant page of the ICC website.

And you would not have had to look so hard if you had referred back to our World Cup & ODI Cricket forum, where the World Cup groupings are the first and Sticky thread:

Well. England thrashed on a wicket that offers eveything to batsmen. Pakistan bowled well, batted well and beat England in every department. One thing that was good was the fielding of Solanki and Colly. Their high standards and quality have not dropped.

It's just what they deserved, fancy winning the toss and putting Pakistan into bat.

As well as Pakistan have played when they have gone for the big shot, it has not gone to a fielder, where England have looked poor hitting out and paying the price.

Having said that now will the selectors divorce the Test team from the one day team, had this been the case we would have had 11 players not tinged with defeat in the Test Matches obviously in other series.

Also Englands premier players could have been resting for the tour of India, where they should do better as India don't have hostile bowling like Pakistan IMO.

This Pakistan side is a very good side, and should be for a time to come, but I hope they don't take the risks batting like they have this series or they will fall flat on their faces like England have done after beating Austraia.

hmmm... the tour to India is not for another three months, why do these guys need so much rest? I think England only use tiredness as an excuse when they are losing; in any case, other teams (eg Australia) play more cricket than England, and despite an older squad, seem to do just fine in terms of fitness and tiredness (the odd ankle injury notwithstanding).

Rest in itself is not an issue at the moment, but Ern has an opportunity here to bang the drum for separation of test and ODI cricket in England. And, in fairness, he knows the answer to his question as well: the authorities will not make the divorce yet!

And if they ever do, the results may not to be Ern's liking; for instance, guys like Flintoff and Trescothick are needed much more by the ODI outfit than by the Test team; if that is the criteria for the split, a certain Lancastrian will not be pleased at all!
