yeah mascarenhas does give a cameo....maybe u shud try and bet Ern....i thought england batted superbly in the end to reach 242....it requires a disciplined performance by english bowlers....i hope it goes down to the wire like the last game.

England 242-7 from their 50 overs.

Mascarenhas and Wright the England hero's, Mascarenhas scored 22 of the last over (29 of 12 overs), Wright 47 from 39 deliveries have given England no more than a sporting chance.

Slow pitch - Anderson and Broad with their extra pace will have to bowl with accuracy, or New Zealand will win in 40 overs IMO.

Yea he and Wright batted well, Anderson and Broad are good wicket taking bowlers - but can go for runs.

240 will only be defendable if they bowl with accuracy, also England seem to be a bowler short.

The pitch is definately different to the one used for 20/20 and is on the slow side. I believe NZ will comfortably win even if England bowlers bowl well.

A very good start once again for New Zealand. Why does England keep picking Anderson when he has not done anything worthwhile in his career? His bowling in this One Day Series has been extremely poor and despite this he has played in all the matches.

Well Anderson and Sidebottom both had good LBW shouts - but these two bowlers are going for runs,
This would not have mattered as much had England posted a competative total - as usual the bowlers are under pressure.

He like Broad have not had a total to defend bar one - Sidebottom is fairing little better, and Broads first ball just gone for 4.

England just don;t have many options.

mc cullum is making england pay for those dropped chances....what fantastic batting....ridiculous captaincy by collingwood....he had slips... took them out again...mustard came up to the stumps, anderson changed his length....why did have a leg slip in ODI's in the first 5 overs specially when the ball is swinging?? good luck england for the test series, this match is as good as lost for the brits. oh boy isn't mcculum proving he is worth the $800k he was bid for.

It appears that the match will be over in 25 overs.

And we all thought the pitch is on the "slow" side!!!!

Probably my last post 06:00 GMT.

England dropping catches, nearly geting LBW's - and both Anderson and Sidebottom going for runs.

NZ 77 -0 wicket in the 9th over.

McCullum 46 in 25 deliveries is destroying England single handed.

McCullum big six of Anderson.

McCullum another 6 of Anderson.

McCullum another massive 6 of Anderson.

96-0 wicket: 10 overs, 21 of this over.

Anderson 4 overs for 45.

Sidebottom 4 overs for 31.

McCullum is destroying England single handed.

!03 -0 in 11 overs - McCullam going after Broad now.

Anyway 3 dropped catches, coupled with no slips to take catches - poor captaincy by Collinhwood.
Very strange was to defend a small total.
