Ishant Sharma Fined

Ishant Sharma has been fined while Symonds walks free, again to do whatever he likes.

Yet another example of a player from the sub-continent being punished harshly and an Australian player getting away.

I did not see what Symonds did and so cannot comment. But it seemed to me that Sharma was posturing and muttering a bit too much in the Sreesanth mould when Hayden and Ponting were batting. Sharma is an impressionable young man but talented enough to have a good future in both forms of cricket for India. In his own interest he should concentrate on the playing side of things and not become distracted by needless antics simply because someone else is doing it. A fine at this stage might just serve as a warning to help him to stay on the right path and not develop an attitude problem.

Sharma was just celebrating the wicket with a little aggresion. Although he showed aggresion it was not out of the rules. Symonds muttered back some words. And then sharma told him that hwe should get to the dressing room. Dont think anyone did too much, to deserve a fine. It was just a little aggresion showed by two opponents. So I really dont see the point of fining sharma.

I agree - it really is time that cricket players were not continually scrutinised for every little blemish under the microscope the the press, the ICC and country boards.

Let the cricketers get on with playing cricket - and ignore petty squabbles.

With every squabble that is highlighted, cricket falls even deeper into disrepute IMO.

You miss my point - NOTHING, let cricket flow without the powers that be intervening all the time, getting a game for cissies IMO.

I thought Symonds didn't approve of professional cricketers showing appreciation for opponents efforts on the field?

Wasn't implying you were Ernest .. Just getting sick of the double standards that are getting set this summer if Brett Lee or any other Australian bowler celebrated the way the Indians do it would be seem to be arrogant or over the top !! Every time the Indians step out of line they come up with some trivial garbage to deflect it away and threaten to go home will be glad once its over

i completely agree with ern ,i guess we can do much better than this kind mud slinging at each other on silly issues

my humble request to you guys(indian or australian)is not to get provoked by this type of thread and bashing at each other.

After all cricket and our very own WORLD-A-TEAM forum is bigger than these petty squabbles.

I sincerely hope that there are no more flame wars in this forum at least on india or australia
