Lets hope a nice match comes up...its 9 30 PM over here...most probably got to stay awake all night unto 7 AM and then head to work....Cant wait
India are batting and have made a solid start - 0/77 in the 17th over. The pitch appears to be excellent for batting and anything less than 360 should be easy to chase.

India 4/205 in the 39th over. Although the scoring rate is very good, India have been losing wickets regularly and because of this, will struggle to post a competitive score on this surface.

I dont think 4/205 is considered losing them quickly, Dhoni coming out batting at 5 indicated come on fella's lets get it moving a bit which is what I think Tendulkar was thinking prior to his dismissal.

India are well placed.

Sharma gone too and the Indians are losing the plot here. They would do well to even post 240 now.

Last 12 overs produced only 58 runs and India lost 6 wickets - India have set Australia 259 to win the second final. The Aussies have the batsmen to achieve the target within 40 overs and I will not be surprised if they do it today.

Highest succesful Australian chase on the Gabba ever is 268

258 is a pretty good score, above par I would say.

Gilchrist and Ponting both out to Kumar for 2 & 1

Australia 2/15 after 5 overs

259 looks huge

India managed to score 258. IMO thats a pretty decent score and considering that Aus are already 19/2 confirms that. Hayden was dropped by Dhoni, could be a vital miss as Hayden is the 1 batsman who has been consistent in the series.

I am always amazed at the amount of talent that India posses. I mean we have seen Sharma already and now due to injuries, the new guy Kumar seems to step up quite easily. Reminds of the days when Balaji just appeared out of nowhere and was very impressive. Similarly , Raina, Uthappa and Pathan have all made impressive debuts.

India have selected 2 spinners and considering how well Clarke and Symonds bowl, its only going to get tougher for AUS.

As for Django, anything less than 360 LOL, seriously, where do you come up with this. And as for AUS chasing this "low" target comfortably in under 40 overs, dream on. This game will go to the wire and I am picking India to sneak it.

Edit: Well pup is gone too. Aus 32/3. With Hayden and Symonds at the wicket now, Dhoni should bring on Bhaji and let the trash talk begin

Yes India has always produced lots of talent, but unfortunately the west is only beginning to recognise it now, not only in cricket but in other spheres as well. Sunil Gavaskar never got the credit he deserved.

As for this match, Hayden and Symonds will secure victory for Australia within between the 40th and 44th over.

Have you even CONSIDERED the required run rate needed to achive victory in 40 overs? The bowlers would have to go for an average of 9 an over.... and not even Pathan (who is getting carted) is being that expensive.

Harbhajan's 4 overs to date have gone for 15. He's gone at 3.75 per over so far. Do you really think he's going to end with figures of 10-0-69-0? Kumar and Sreesanth have 6 overs to bowl (between them): are they suddenly going to go at 2-3 times the rate they did earlier in the game?

I hope you didn't place a bet on that outcome...
