2nd Final Australia v India CB series

After watching the following "you tube" video even I am feeling slightly inspired to find a light blue shirt that fits, write Dhoni or Sharma across the back of it and wear it while watching this afternoons (Aust time) match.

YouTube - Who is the real culprit?

Seeing that is starting to make me realise how important cricket must be in India, that much fluff over a one day series. Good win the other night hopefully we level and take it to 3.

Beautiful day for cricket. High 20's and a nice south-easterly blowing across Brisbane.

Heading off in the next hour to the Gabba for (hopefully) a great game.

On the money. India has hardly produced world renowned sportsmen be it any sport. Thanks to the british raj , Cricket is the only sport we excel in and hence the uproar.

I hear there is a massive boost of funding for athletes competing in Commonwealth Games sports such as weightlifting and athletics ahead of the 2010 event which I think New Delhi is hosting.

So there may well be some future heroes on the way, but you're right, when I coem to think of it the only Indian sportsman I can think of off of the top of my head are cricketers. But then the only Brazilians I can think of are soccer players.

The government may increase funding, but until the masses start taking interest in other sports, the money spent will not result in improvement of other sports and the money will be wasted....

If that happens, then I'm sure Matthew Hayden will go back on the radio and offer a slightly different interpretation to the one you're implying.
