Why the heck is McKenzie not in the SA oneday or 20/20 Squad :)

Why not ???

he was top MTN DC one day format for 2 seasons now .......... he was bril in the local 20/20 scene ! i mean common this guy is better than SMITH and AB DE BIL and they selectors still got the audacity to send him home after the test matches ! he accelarates his batting bril and he has a good eye !

oh well in time hopefully.... cause he uses his initiative so well...

His average of 38 is impressive, but his strike rate of 69 is less so. He'd make a very good anchor-style player for any other side, but with Jacques Kallis filling that role admirably, the Proteas seem to want to fill the team with aggressive strokeplayers- say what you will about AB, but he is one of the most destructive batsmen in the world today, and he's got a good record to boot, as have Smith and Gibbs.

I think someone who's really been hard done by is V.V.S. Laxman- his record isn't great, but he's never really been given ample opportunity to improve on it.
