I would be quite happy to see us have a new ball attack of Onions and Bresnan for this as it would give them a chance and save the likes of Sidebottom,Anderson and Broad for more important things like test matches.

Overall a good squad but not sure about Pattinson?

I didn't even know he was qualified! It says he was born in England, but I was under the impression that there had to be some kind of residency requirement?

I hope Mustard squeezes out Ambrose (no pun intended ).

Well Pattinson is a fishman seeing as he was born in Grimsby.I have no problem with his selection on those grounds just i have never seen him play and seeing as he is such a latecomer to first class cricket you wonder if he is worth bothering with.

It seems like Pattinson is 29 with only 5 first class games prior to this season. An odd choice.

Graham Napier must feel gutted to miss out, given his current form with both bat and ball. Given how many pies he has devoured over the years, he was apparently touching 90mph in the 20:20 the other day. Would have been a good selection, though Mascarenhas vs Napier would be a tough call.

Napier is having the season of his life but it makes you wonder if this is just a decent county player having a purple patch or whether his potential has finally been fulfilled.I hope it is the latter as over the next few years he would give us a decent alternative option in a one day squad but i guess the selectors must think it is the former.
