Lightbulb It Will Be A Tough Win

Dear kwicket

When NZ faces England in the world cup you cant really prdict who will win. I mean the World Cup is in almost 2 years. What if Shane Bond gets injured,by the way a big fan of BONDY. What im saying is that you cant predict the future. If you would be talking about now I would say England will win. I say England because there the #2 in the world right now in my opinion. #1 is without a doubt Pakistan. England is coming of a great ASHES win against the former #1 Autralia. By the way look at Austrlia there team is really bad now. Even Bangladash can beat them. Austrlia had every thing going there way untill a big calapse. Steve and Mark Waugh left, Jason Gillaspe cant bowl good any more. Thats my point you cant prdict the future..............

Good luck NZ, England is over rated P.S What if Stephen Fleming gets injured

I dont understand how you can rank Pakistan ahead of Sri Lanka, NZ or Australia...there record just doesnt stand up. Obviously you are a Pakistani supporter but i still dont see how you can rank Pakistan number one. Australia are still number one and will be favourites heading into the world cup. The upcoming NZ vs SA will be a good gauge to see where NZ are at because SA are very tough to beat at home. I was not trying to predict the future, just saying NZ should beat England in that world cup game considering NZ are ranked higher and we trashed them last year and both sides still have the same teams.

How are they number 2 in the world right now? In test matches I'll grant you that, but not the one dayers. Right now Sri Lanka, New Zealand and South Africa seem to be much better one day units.

Surely you jest? #1 without a doubt is Australia.

Question How could you say that

Dear crabs

The first thing I said was that Pakistan is #1 right well they are. Look at it from my point of view Pakistan are cooming of 2 great ODI series wins against India and West Indies. As you may now by now im a huge PAKISTAN fan well ok if you dont like Pakistan as #1 England is. Cooming of ASHES win almost beat Austrlia in Natwest challenge. These are two great teams. I think the reson why your saying that Austrlia is the #1 team is because they have played the most matches in the last 2 months more than any team. Pakistan havent played sense a very long time. You just forgot how great Pakistans cricket team is. The thrid thing you said was that Bangledash had beaten Pakistan true, but how long ago 2 3 years. Austrlia just lost to them 2 months ago big deffrence

P.S. WATCH PAKISTAN VS ENGLAND WE WILL FIND OUT WHO IS #1

Wink Its All Pakistan And England

Dear kwicket

You got one thing right I AM A HUGE PAKISTANI FAN. The reason why I rank Pakistan and England higher than Austrlia is because of old players and young players. Austrlia have Adam Gilchrist Vice Cpt Matt Hayden and Rickey Pointing Cpt. Whats sameness about these 3 players is there all Austrlian Stars these days but there too old. I think in 2, 3 years Austrlia will be really bad team. There stars will be MIKe Hussy and Clake and Brad Hodge. Not so good Now Pakistan and England have young and great players. Andrew Flintoff, Shoiab Malik, ANdrew Struess, and My player Shaid Afridi

P.S. WATCH PAKISTAN VS. ENGLAND THIS MATCH WILL DETERMEN WHO IS #1 AND #2 TEAMS

Ok so from your logic Pakistan are number one because they beat West Indies (#8 in rankings) and India (#7 in rankings). Hmm lets think here, South Africa just played England in a one day series and THRASHED them, so by your logic shouldnt South Africa be number one? So does that mean if NZ beat South Africa in the upcoming series then NZ are number one?

The fact of the matter is it doesnt matter how old your team is, i agree that Australias team is old and in 3 years or so they will struggle. But that doesnt change the fact that the Aussie team is by far the best at the moment, and they have shown it. You say either England or Pakistan are number one, England have recently lost a One day series to Australia and Pakistan got absolutely slaughtered by Australia last year.

Im sorry to say this but you are just plain wrong.

Aussie are number one, and IMO New Zealand and Sri Lanka are a close second. (in ODI cricket)

Oh and by the way Shahid Afridi has been playing for about 10 years and still only averages 24. He has lived off one innings his whole life and has never been able to do it against decent attacks. England have young up and comers? what about NZ? Brendon McCullum, Jacob Oram, Daniel Vettori (is only 26), Hamish Marshall, James Marshall, James Franklin, Lou Vincent. All very young players and have experience to.

Oh and also England rank #6 in the world, not very good for a team you say rank #1 or #2.

2 teams that are ranked 7 and 8 on the ICC ODI Cricket rankings. If they were 1 and 2 you'd have a point...but they aren't.

I fully respect Pakistan and there cricketeers, I just know for a fact they are far from number 1 in either test or ODIs.

Nope. The reason I say Australia is number 1 is because...
A) They are ranked Number 1 on both the Test and ODI International rankings
B) They have won the last 2 World Cups
C) They have consistently beaten every other team. Sure, they lose the odd match here and there, but overall they have the best record. And this is hard to admit cause I am from New Zealand!

My point was that both teams were taken unaware by Bangladesh. Chances of it happening again are slim to none.

When Pakistan defeats Australia on a tour there and wins the World Cup, only then will I agree that they are the number 1 team in World Cricket.

Thumbs down You Cant always belive the stats

Dear Crabs

Pakistan are cooming of wins over 2 teams that have been great. I dont no what you think of India, but ill tell you something a Pakistan vs India game is bigger than almost anything. The Pakistani players give it all against India and so do India. India vs Pakistan is without the biggest rivaly in MY Mind in the whole sport of CRICKET. Ok I admit West Indies arnt that team they were a couple of years ago. In the ODIS all I want you to see is Pakistan vs England then youll find out how great Pakistan's cricket is. Just to tell you a fact CRICKET MEANS ALOT IN PAKISTAN. I admit Pakistan isnt #1 in TEST Cricket, but #1 in ODIS. Austrlia are not # 1 they are losing there talents GILCHRST and HAYDEN ARE TO OLD OH YEAH CPT RICKY POINTING. I respect AUSSIE cricket, but there not # 1. Austrlia have had there time now its time for a yuong team to win PAkistan or England or NZ there alot of great teams. And all im saying is Austrlia's time to shine is over................

Pakistan great team in my view they are #1 Just watch Pakistan VS. England

I agree with you that Pakistan is a great cricket team but they still are not number 1.....not yet anyway. I also think India is a fantastic team, but the fact of the matter is there record hasn't been to hot as of late. If Pakistan get a win over England in the ODI's that wont mean much to me at all as England aren't a great ODI side. Kinda like NZ is a good ODI side but not so good as a test side. Also, in todays day and age it is now very hard for the touring team to win (that is why Australia is so good because they constantly win overseas). I would expect Pakistan to win at home. Much like if England was hosting, I would expect them to have the advantage.

Oh yeah, and although the Aussie team is ageing, they have heaps of depth. If Australia A was a recognised International team they'd probably be ranked in the top 4.

I'm not having a go at you Uham, it just seems your putting opinion before fact. Lets both hope for a Pakistan v New Zealand final in 2007.
