i like dhoni, nice attacking batsman but he got a lil weakness to the shoet rising ball outside the off stump...

Yeah he sure is amazing but I don't think he can go out slogging in England against England because the ball will move around in the air and the ball will nip off the pitch so he has to play measured strokes, it will be interesting how Dhoni looks about playing England but I do think he is a very intelligent batsman and he will figure it out for himself.

I think Dhoni will do very well in england, he is an amazing and consistent striker of the ball, shahid afridi showed us in a lil cameo 28 in the 20/20 what a batsman can do if he throws caution to the wind, englands grounds have fast outfields, Dhoni, Kp, Afridi and hussey all play a lot of shots but Dhoni and Hussey are more intelligent and they dont implode, in the coming years i think dhoni will the one to inherit the hitter/keeper cap from gilchrist.

I agree with you Avkar, we have seen Dhoni play sensible cricket already. So we know that if the situation is dificult, he will change his game. I believe he is a fast learner and he adapts well to the conditions. One cant make such huge scores by just slogging. He has a very unorthodox way of batting which makes it look like he is slogging everytime.

Then his career has just started and I am sure, like any other batsman, he will get some hiccups, will make mistakes sometimes and will learn from them and will have some bad patches in his career. But I think he will play well all around the world.

The same concern was also raised about Sehwag and he went on to score centuries in different parts of the world.

I totally agree with all the his records and current performance charm but something tells me "easy come easy go". In my opnion Dhoni is only a temporary hype and I wont be surprised to see him out of indian team in a couple of years time. Again, no offense intended as its my personal opinion and I maybe totally wrong.
