I read Bing Lee was attacked by apples, lemons and oranges at the cover boundary!

I suppose parts of the crowd were just disgusted at NZ's awful bating, but you never know, they might have been protesting at Australia's equally disgusting new away strip, Kiwi fans are very style conscious after all!

For those who haven't seen the game, the new Aussies kit includes deep green tops, with the same disturbingly bright gold backs and sleeves, and all gold pyjamas. Australia are a first class team, and the way sections of the crowd behaved at Auckland was a terrible way to host a first class team, but Ponting and co. ought not to have dressed like half human half clown! God bless cricket authorities all the over the world with more sense.

Why didn't Shane Bond play in the first ODI? How can they drop him from the team? Thats what happens to NZ when players like Bond are left out.

He pulled a ham string Rineet. I'm not sure how many games he is out for, but he wasn't dropped, he is unfit.

Apparently Bracewell has admitted to the media that his side are scared of Brett Lee.......hmm, well that`s obvious, but i don`t think a coach should be giving the opposition more ammo.

Under Bracewell the side has .(.until recent efforts against the aussies, S.Africa & now the aussies again)...been very good at the one day art....however the test record is dismal......only boosted by wins over `desh & zimbabwe.......oh & a test win over sri lanka in the middle of winter!

Time he went...........& me old mate John Wright, a grand Derby lad (adopted)...took over!!!!.

You can change the coach if you want, but the players will have to get the runs them selves, the coach can't do that!

I wonder how long Hamish Marhsall's lean trot will continue...Is there anyone, apart from his bro James, waiting in the wings, Cliff? And what do you make of Craig McMillan?

I think that most of the crowd problems were due to the frustrastion of the game! And while I'm not condoning anything, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out if your an Aussie supporter you don't sit in the terraces!

I think the trouble with the NZ team is totally mental! The players all have the capabilities. This time last year we were ranked the number 2 team in the world. Now we are number 7, with pretty much the same players. Then again, NZ have had strong opposition since then. We've played South Africa 4 times and Australia 9 times (11 times in a weeks time), the two best teams in the world, and we took South Africa to the limit in 3 of those games. In fact they are the only teams that consistently beat us at the moment. But the way we got beaten by Australia was just embarrassing. Our only consolation was that McGrath wasn't playing. If he was I shudder to think what the score would have been.

Ah, Craig McMillan......very hard to judge how good he is...he`s a great record against the lower teams...but has on occasion done well against the better sides...but not often enough.

His biggest problem is that he tends to premeditate shots......& if it`s the wrong ball to the shot he has in mind....well he looks stupid..................and he looks stupid quite alot!!!

A plague that appears to effect alot of NZrs & has for a while, is footwork.....not many have any!!...i`m not sure why, maybe it`s the slow, low, plasticene wickets that alot are brought up on. There has been an improvement in some areas & i think once they get faster harder wickets...as in christchurch things will improve.

Until they are all like that...the batsmen will continue to wait & play shots late.

It works for me!!!

Punter came out said Wellington could/was worse in terms of crowd behaviour, so NZ cricket admnistrators have taken drastic measures.

The dramatic step was taken following a meeting involving New Zealand cricket officials, the police and security staff which reviewed the disorderly conduct that angered the Australians in Auckland.

Wow! that was one hell of a performance by the Aussies! Well i thought New Zealand started off the game pretty well to restrict the aussies to 252 , thats a really decent performance on the field!

But my word the aussies come out and WHAM BHAM! Kiwis are shot out for a mere 103 . Thats called a class performance from some great players! Fielding was Outstanding and Brett Lee was quick as ever and giving a 101% for each bowl! i thought Clarke and Bracken bowled well too together with simo!

Well looks like Cairns is the only one who really did well over all for the kiwis in that match. Looks like they werent used to that kind of bowling pace in the recent past! well im sure its a kick in the **** so theyll come up with a better performance in the 2nd ODI trying to sqaure things up!

If only Craig Spearman was still eligible, best kiwi batsmen in the world and he wont play for us.

I guess they stick with marshall for this series, no use blooding new players who will just get hammered and then look to bring in fresh talent like Jamie Howe or someone similar.
