Isn't Bondy meant to be back for the last game though? And Fleming back also? This could be our best chance ever.

Yep, I believe they`ll both be back from what i hear......however the Chappell/Hadlee trophy is already safely tucked away in the aussie cupboard.

if only we'd tied - probably a fair result - then a win in chch would share the trophy for another year

and yes, the crowd was pretty miserable, we didn't even have the critical mass to sustain a mexican wave! i think people may have been scared off by the weather, the anti-crowd measures (that's not what i mean, but you know what i mean), and NZ's dire performance at eden park

Great heart from the NZ players... really what a game!

I'm dissapointed that I hav'nt seen Bond back playing yet. Hopefully he'll be ready for the last match.

Great game..... had everything..... Symonds destruction.... Cairns/Orams/Vincent/McCullums great innings.... some of the best fielding you'll ever see, tremendous run outs.... **** sportsmanship again from Brett Lee to give McCullum yet another beamer - the filthy bastard...... and some outstanding bowling from the debutant Mick Lewis

You know I've been thinking about this. Nearly every game I watch Brett Lee bowl he does this to someone and it does always appear accidental. However it was interesting that he followed the McCullum beamer with a nasty bouncer STRAIGHT AWAY!
So either
a) He does it on purpose
b) He can't control the ball properly.

i reckon they're accidental - i'm a cynic so i reckon if you're going to beam someone you should do it properly and aim directly at their head.

the waist high full tosses are probably overcooked yorkers.

funny how often mccullum ends up on the recieving end though . . . wonder if he gives a bit of chip when lee's batting . . .

Unhappy 3rd One Dayer - NZ vs Oz

Hmmm. The main difference between the two teams is DEPTH of personnel. AUs has it in bounds, NZ has none. It appears as though Australia keeps on progressing, guys like Symonds, Hussey, Clarke, etc are all coming on really well. Where is NZ heading with McMillan, the Marshalls, Astle.....BACKWARDS....this is really concerning as we dont seem to have any answers. Its going to be a long summer methinks!!!! I think its time to blood some new guys like Taylor, Ryder and Fulton. Im hoping that these changes are going to be introduced by John Wright.....
