| I persume you mean Keeper-Batsmen? 1) Gilchrist (but falling) 2) Sangakarra 3) Akmal 4) McCullum 5) G Jones There are a few young and/or inexperienced players like Dhoni, Ramdin that come into contention but as far have played not enough games. |

| I agree with you Rob. if we were talking about wicket-keepers it would have to be Chris Read IMO. He has exceptional glove-work although his batting is a little more to be desired. Akmal seems to be moving up everyone's lists for keeper/batsmen which is good for Pakistan cricket.

| I agree VRock, but I wouldn't write-off Kamran Akmal's keeping skills either; he has the potential to become the best gloveman in the world, though with Read out of the picture, there are hardly any other contenders - Sangakkara being the only one.

| So does England, as does Pakistan. This thread is about the chaps who actually do the jobs, not the ones in the wings - the customary comments about Read notwithstanding In terms of Pakistan, even Kamran's younger brother Adnan Akmal is a wicket-keeper, and reputed, by many reporters, as being a better natural gloveman than Kamran! Then there is the A team keeper Zulqarnain, a decent bat and very solid behind the stumps too. And a few others.
