If there was a 5 over game between two sides I wouldn't even pay 50p to watch it. Maybe 1p per over, it would be more of a slog fest than twenty20 and I think it would be based purely upon luck throughout.

That would be great for television.

Instead of a commercial break we'd have a one ball cricket match. Great...

i think that the ICC shouldnt overuse Twenty20 game. Limit it to 1 game per tour or just leave it at the domestic level.

I feel that if Twenty20 is to become a big part of cricket now then like said they should limit one dayers. On a tour instead of having 5 or 7 odi's have 3 odi's and 2 twenty/20's etc. This would mean that there would not be even more cricket for the players but less because the games don't last as long.

i dont think 20-20 is the future.. i think its a lame attempt to make cricket something like basketball.. cricket is all about its subtleness.. in players ability to bowl well over more overs.. for batsmen to endure more overs... and play through.. not on here i come slap bang!!! out or 6 kinda sport!! i dont call that sport.. i call it ridiculous..

Don't forget it is useful for governing bodies/grounds/teams as it is a great money spinner.

I agree with all of your post, 20/20 is just not cricket - and with baseball you would get more value for money in terms of time spent.

I'm also a big fan of ODI's.

20/20 Cricket is stupid IMO, to me its just seen as a slogfest and thats all the fans want to see, they dont care about the history between the 2 teams, or the bowling etc. etc. they just want to see big hits and you know, if you want to see big hits often, go watch baseball.

I really dont want to see 20/20 take off, maybe once every now and then, but I think a league or series would be stupid, as mentioned earlier, its becoming to much of a side show.

Over here ODI's are still bringing in big crowds anyway and the TV ratings are solid also.

In summing up, it would be an absolute joke to scrap ODI for 20/20.
