Thank goodness the Duckworth Lewis system should never have to be used at the Telstra Dome (Melbourne) because the roof can be closed, I wonder if some time in the future the nearby MCG will erect a roof.
The MCG may be slightly concerned in a longer term veiw about its nearby neighbour getting a foothole in the market.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but, in a rain-shortened game, don't the batsmen have to carry a print-out of the target runs per over? If not, I think the scoreboard shows whether the batting side are behind or in front of the par score so there is no repeat of the confusion that put South Africa out of the 2003 World Cup when they needed just one more run to advance to the Super Six stage.

Aus Vs SA, Telstra Dome

Australia won the toss and chose to bat. 6-205 at the moment. Phil Jaques had an excellent debut, making 94.

Pollock has probablu been the pick of the bowlers with 2-31 off his 10.

Australia on their way to win this match by a big margin with bonus point. On the current form, it appears that the Proteas will not make it to the finals this year. Their batsmen have to blame themselves for not even trying to go for the runs in the first 20 overs.

Brett Lee, 5-22. Wow. He really is the business when he gets going, I think South Africa would have felt comfortable chasing 240-odd, with Smith, Gibbs, Boucher and Kemp in the side, but when you come up against bowling like that, there are few sides in the world who can stand it!

Lee is bowling amazingly at the moment. What if you had Lee and Akhtar as opening bowlers in a game? That would be one for the books, two bowlers at 90mph+. Lee gave the Aussies the win after a good opening bat by Jacques.

Lee is the most feared bowler in ODI.

What about McGrath? Is he getting jeolous that Lee is taking all the wickets?

Sri Lanka are going to win this ODI. What I find amusing is the crowd chanting 'no ball' every time Murali delivers a ball. And the commentators aren't even acknowledging it.

I would still back Australia to win comfortably with the likes of Hussey and Symonds still to come.
As for the crowds at the stadium and the commentators, I wish they have the same attitude when Lee throws some balls!
