| This is a good question. I don't think the most underrated bowler can be Sami by any stretch of the imagination. It would really depend on which Sami turned up! On his day, he can be very destructive but those days seem to be coming less and less at the moment. I think Bond is a good name to throw in, but I wouldn't call him underrated. All those who've seen him know what he's capable of - as long as he can stay fit. As for my underrated bowlers: Naved ul Hasan - Just because he's 'slower' than Shoaib, Sami and Gul means that people tend to take him less seriously as a strike bowler. His performances in English county cricket and in the recent test series tend to suggest that batsmen and pundits alike should take him much more seriously!! James Franklin - A more than useful left arm seamer who on his day is capable of causing big problems - certainly a better bowler than Chris Martin, Darryl Tuffey or Kyle Mills, but he's still not a guarenteed pick for the Kiwis Ricky Ponting - Just look at the overs he bowled in the ashes. Good ball to dismiss Vaughan. He should let himself bowl more |

| I'd go for Rana Naved, he can exploit seam movement and swing to full effect and can be very dangerous.

| Why the is "past it" Kaspa on this list? I would have Hoggard, Vaas and Si Jones to that list |

| I would have Hoggard, Vaas and Si Jones to that list[/quote] I agree. I feel Hoggard has been excellent for England throughout his carrear and is an excellent cricketer, incredibly underated. Simon Jones is also underated, someone who can use reverse swing like him has something special and i think after his perfomances in the Ashes he will be more recognised, hopefully he continues his good from in India and his injury has not effected him too much. |

| Voted for Vettori as he's the most underrated amongst the names given above. Zaheer's name should'nt have been there. He 'was' very good, bowled well against PAK in the test series but was a total mess in the ODIs. He's not putting in his best & isnt a very big fan of Chappell's tough fitness drills. The most underrated bowler, IMO, is Chaminda Vaas. He is finally getting the respect & recognition he deserves but sadly he'll always remain in the shadows of Murali.
