Given that McGrath and Warne are 35/36, Lara is 37 and Inzi is 35 going on 36, I think 27 is relatively young for a test cricketer, especially one who - because of injuries - is still in the earlier stages of his career. After him I'd go for Plunkett, Bell or Pietersen.

Nice question. It is very hard to say. Lots of young talent has devoleped in the past couple of years. Well here is my list for the teams all put to gather.

He is indeed a rising star, I just picked Kaneria ahead of him. However, you are right, Akmal has been overlooked and is a very, very talented keeper-batsman.

Strauss is "young" in terms of experience at test level, but if you were to include Strauss then surely Hussey would get the nod for Aus.

For me Young means age, that would exclude anyone over the age of 25...
