Yeah I cant see Sri Lanka taking this one out, if they can post somthing like 240-250 and bowl well, then maybe, but at this stage, I think its game set match to Australia.

Srilanka have fought back and posted in my opinion a fighting total of 266/9, however it remains to be seen whether they can trouble australias awesome batting lineup, still this is it.... the vb series hangs in the balance!!

That Aussies have started well by not losing a single wicket....0/69...Things are looking ominous for SL.

Thumbs up Final Verdict

With Gilchrist smashing a 100 off only 67 balls a new national record and simon katich making 107 off 142 balls... there was just no way sri lanka could do anything but look on as the unbeatable aussie team took their game to another new level... beating srilanka's valiant 266 for nine by nine wickets.... it remains to be seem whether any team can post any challenge at all to the dominant jaggurnaut of world cricket TEAM AUSTRALIA
other notables were Russel arnold 76 runs and jaywardenes 86 runs Braken the new aussie bowler on the scene bowled to prove his mettle with figures of 3 for 44... all in all a very tame end to an exciting tri nations series...

I think Sri Lanka have found someone good in Jayawardene and he is proving to be a useful innings builder...The Aussies never looked like losing the game and all credit to Gilly and Katich, they proved just how good the Aussie lineup is and that they can win games from the top of the order.

Not to mention Australia got beaten in Game 1 of the Finals and were beaten by an under strength South African and Sri Lankan team a couple of times through out the series.

Very big, but they're not unbeatable.
