Arrow The boys in green, Side for the future?

After beating england in pakistan in the test series and then again in the one day series.. the men in green "the pakistani team" started a resurgence of sorts... of interest, of skill (which they never lacked) and of consistency and the ability to fight back. They beat india again in the test matches but in typical fashion succumbed meekly in the one day series.. leading back to where they came from an enigma of a team. Can this side be one to reckon with for the world cup, can they beat australia?? and can they re emerge out of the hole they keep falling back into???

2007 world cup is still far away. i think india beating pakistan was a good wake up call as was pakistan beating england. pakistan need to learn from this and i think the loss was mainly to our top order loosing form. I think we will know more when pakistan tour england however bearing in mind that the carribean wickets are very simliar to sub-continent ones.

This Pakistani team definitely is a very good team in the making. They played well against England and India. But the last few days have exposed some weaknesses. I could never understand why Pakistan so mysteriously loses form all of a sudden. Pakistan has a huge huge problem in fielding. Most players have got the basics wrong and the captaion is the worst. Woolmer has some tough work to do there as I believe fielding is something best taught at a young age. Apart from that, in the oneday series it looked like Pakistan was playing without a plan or if there was a plan, the execution never happened. I believe Pakistan has a few problems to solve. There is enough time before the world cup and they have an able coach in Woolmer. I am sure Pakistan will beone of the toughest teams in the world cup.
