South Africa vs. Australia (Twenty20)

After a rain delayed start South Africa have come out to bat after winning the toss. Interesting line up for the South Africans with a specialist Twenty20 side compared to Australias stock ODI side.

Umpires: M Erasmus, K H Hurter
South Africa: G C Smith, L L Bosman, A B de Villiers, H H Gibbs, N D McKenzie, S M Pollock, A J Hall, J J van der Wath, R J Peterson, R Telemachus, M Ntini
Australia: D R Martyn, A C Gilchrist, R T Ponting, M J Clarke, S M Katich, S R Watson, G B Hogg, B Lee, N W Bracken, S R Clark, M L Lewis

Current score 14-0 after 1.4 overs BBC Scorecard here. Cricinfo scorecard here.

South Africa finished their innings with a monster 201-4 after a brilliant 89* from Smith. He shared a century stand with Gibbs and they set up SA for a big score. Australia currently 7-0 after 0.4 overs

Have to disagree there Paoli's brother. South Africa batted brilliantly IMO with Smith and Gibbs leading the way. They got the Australian top order out early in the innings and too much was left to do at the end. Hogg I thought was great in the Aussie innings, he hit some huge sixes.

Or should you say pro20 cricket greg....why it gets called pro20 in some places I do not know. A great win for South Africa and they have dealt an early blow to the Aussies confidence. Ntini didn't look too great though.
