| I thought the Black Caps might be entitled to just an ounce of praise for the way they're playing. I mean sure the Windies have been poor but we can look at the positives aswell Never have i seen such batting depth in a NZ side. With Jamie How, Pete Fulton and Ross Taylor in their debut season of international cricket and returns to form for Astle and to lesser extents Vincent and Fleming. I think all 3 should be in the XI. And maybe it's time for Styris or Marshall to be on their way |

| Final ODI The West Indies have defied all odds and won the final game after some aggresive batting down the order from Hinds and Ramdin. In the first innings Smith took 5-45 with the only real scorer for New Nealand being Scott Styris with 90.

| That was actually an utterly fantastic bit of fielding from Lou Vincent. He slid along the outfield on his chest for 5-10 yards causing his trousers to come down round his ankles. I was in fits of laughter at the time! |

| Looks like you weren't the only one! It's always good when a player can sacrifice his dignity for the sake of the team. ![]() |

| Great to see him giving his all for the team even at the expense of his trowsers. Certainly gets the "who looked the daftest?" award for the series.
