I can't agree more. What a run chase from South Africa and they even had the decency to let it run right to the end.

A commendmant to Mick Lewis who had the great figures 10-0-113-0. Not too bad, it even came up on the score board with "Congratulations Mick Lewis on achieveing the worst figures in ODI's". I thought actually did bowl well and ended up with 5-67, some of his overs when the runs were really flowing were top class.

Gibbs knock of 175 was amazing for the pressure he was under, a classic knock in a classic game.

One of the greatest ODIs ever

What a match!! The South Africans have achieved the unthinkable. The Aussies would have thought that the series was sealed during the innings break. But the South Africans believed in themselves and won the most amazing game of cricket. When the Aussies batted, Ponting played like how he did in the WC final in 2003. Herschelle Gibbs played the innings of his life scoring 175 and the others chipped in. All in all, a great game of cricket. I think Mic Lewis will never play for Australia again!!!

Looking at the score card once again, I wonder whether it was real Cricket or stick Cricket.

I wonder myself DomainK!

And all this without Shaun Pollock?

Why was Andrew Hall batting at 10 in this game and at 11 in the last game? He's a better batsman than that.

Still, can't complain with the result. Great stuff Saffers! Good to see that Gibbs and Ponting shared the MOTM honours.

At least you will get to see the highlights! There is neither live coverage nor any highlights of any of these matches here.

In true "Australia lost and I'm the losing captain after batting an extremely good innings" style Ponting handed the complete MOM over to Herschelle Gibbs, and boy did he deserve it.

Hasn't Pollock done well in the games that South Africa have lost? Maybe the side perform better when he's not playing. Instead of relying upon him in the bowling others stepped up. (Although I don't really see how they stepped up their game when most of them got smashed around the park.)

Muttiah Muralitharan must be relieved after gaining that distinction when he was belted for 99 runs in the 2nd VB Final - the most expensive ODI figures in a ten-over spell up till then.

I'm utterly speechless, flabbergasted, the Cricinfo headline says it all:

"Australia post 434 for 4, and lose!"
