South Africa vs Australia 5th ODI

The Australians are showing us why they are the best side in the world at the moment. I have no doubt in my mind that they will win this 5th ODI. As I write this, they are 68/0 in the 11th over.

What a marvellous innings from the Aussies, win just under four overs left they are 374/3. Hussey just lofted a shot to long off.

Ponting has reached 150 off just 98 balls and Australia are well on their way to breaking the high score record.

434-4 !!!!!

Ricky Ponting hit 164 which included 12 fours and 9 sixes. It was truly a great knock and he and Hussey (81) were smashing the ball all around the park.

Cricinfo scorecard here.

This score beats the 398/5 set by Sri Lanka against Kenya in 1995/96.

Charles Colville on Sky claimed that Smith had called the Aussies "chokers" this week....

Bet he wished he kept his mouth shut!! Smith has made a habit of saying some very stupid things, someone in the SA media team needs to have a word and maybe give him some tips!!

Looks Like Gibbs is on the track to break the world record for the highest individual score in an ODI innings.

South Africa: 261/2 (28.4 Ovs)
Herschelle Gibbs* 141(99)
AB de Villiers 10(14)
