In yesterday's (day 3) play India v England Test 220 runs were scored in 81 overs for the loss of 9 wickets. I was thoroughly entertained as there was a good balance of runs and wickets. There were also a few dropped catches to heighten the tension and a couple of Flintoff's bouncers found their target ie an Indian helmet. Dhoni and Sreesanth were sconed. The new ball swung and bounced to take the late wickets of the Indian tail and to take the two England wickets. The pitch was praised by the commentators as a good Test pitch in which a result is likely. I couldn't ask for more of a Day 3 wicket.

You are quite right in your assessment that Razzaq didn't appear to be fighting to to save his wicket that day. As it's a well known joke among Pakistani fans that Razzaq either blocks or slogs, it was one of those very occasions where he seemed to be doing neither. Even spinners like Murali (who was brought in specifically to take advantage of Razzaq's dislike for spinners) weren't very successful in unsettling him.
