I think this will be closer that many are prdicting - India should win but I reckon it could be 4-3 either way. England may have lost Trescothick but they are also missing Vaughan so in terms of runs scoring potential the replacements should balance this out.

Flintoff will lead from the front and if the pitches are too flat he and Pieterson will match anything that Sehwag or Dhoni can produce.

Should be an interesting series whatever happens.

India is perhaps at its lowest in a long time. The batting is in disarray and the bowling not good enough. I am not sure their performance would be any different in the ODIs.

I would go for England to continue the momentum from Bombay and win the ODI series.

England lost the practise match by 5 runs, with Kaif scoring a century in fine style. England had some promising performances though, from Prior with a fifty, Bell with 73 off 80-odd balls and Ian Blackwell and Paul Collingwood bowling well.

Anderson going for 57 runs and only taking the solitary wicket of Gambhir looks a bit like a backward step from what he did in the Test Match.

I think Collingwood could be pretty useful in this series if we get some more slow wickets. A very mixed bag of performances for England.

I think you summed it up the reason for Anderson's failure in the second point. Sounds like a pitch were pace was nullified and taking the pace off the ball caused the most problems.

Don't feel it was such a mixed bag, we only lost by a few runs on a slow pitch with several key players missing - other than the players already out of the tour - no Flintoff, no Strauss.

The bowlers got a bowl, most of the batters got some time at the crease - who cares about the result.

Mixed bag in the sense of having Shah scoring nothing after having scored 88 in the last test, then again we got 10 overs for only 33 runs and a wicket from Ian Blackwell, the one who was dropped after the first test.

That's the mixed bag.

I do respect the fact that it is only a warm up game and that key players are missing, however you would expect Solanki to have stepped up in the frame of things. Given the captaincy in the abscence of Freddie, promoted to the position in the batting of which I think he prefers. All this pressure turned into a duck.

Losing a warm-up match would not bring their spirit down.We saw them losing the warm-up game before the start of the test series but then played very well in the series without three key players.

England won without Vaughan,Trescothick and Simon Jones,so India can also win without Sachin Tendulkar in the One Day Internationals.
