| Great bowling from England to have five batsmen dismissed by 20 overs. Harbhajan and Dhoni are at the crease and just got to their 50 partnership. 197-7.

| Disappointing performance by India and a great show by England to bundle out the Indians for 203. Harbhajan was the top-scorer for India with 37. Should be an easy chase for England from here on... |

| All that talk about Tests and ODIs being a different game altogather... what a load of crock.. the indian team have carried their woes to the ODI series... pathetic performence with the bat... and kudos to the best bowling attack in the world today for carrying on the pressure... all set for england to win eh? |

| A very valuable 37 by Harbhajan lower down the order helped India reach a score of 203.Irfan Pathan put India back into the game by striking twice in the first over.England are now 23 for the loss of 2 wickets with Matt Prior and Peitersen at the crease.

This means 1. It won't be going away soon 2. The top players will contiune to play it 3. In most parts of the World it pays for Test Cricket (lets get away from our English Test is best world view - it's at odds with alomost every other corner of the Cricketing globe) Ern - look at the crowds at most Test around the world (SA V Aus would be an obvious one) they are non existent. The fact is that people want to watch ODI's. Also read some of the comments by Indian, Pakistani and Sri Lankan fans and you will see that for them ODI Cricket is the more important game, they really don't care as much about a Test series loss as they do an ODI loss. I think there is room for both forms of the game, and infact without the gate reciepts and TV money that ODI's generate, there wouldn't be a thriving Test version. | If what you are saying is true ff, and I don't doubt it, then Test cricket is all but dead. Iook at the silly 3 match Test series with India, had there been no one day cricket they could have fit another Test in and there would probably have been a winner of the series, or proff of Englands come back.

Test Cricket is not dead and will not die, but you cannot just dismiss ODI's because they have an important role in keeping the game alive. Quote:
So let those who enjoy the ODI's enjoy the game, and stop moaning about it, and sit back and enjoy the Test's, partly because of those that enjoy the ODI's... Last edited by flanflinger : 28-03-2006 at 08:55 AM. |

| Question; Why are England playing with two wicketkeepers again? Surely Bell or Solanki should be playing instead of Jones or Prior? If Prior is really a good enough to get into the team as a batsman then Jones should make way for one of the others. We are basically playing with ten and a half men. And still doing ok. |
