| I would still have Strauss in the line up somewhere. I don't think there is need to have a recognised bat down at 10. Only recently many (including myself) were saying that Solanki shouldn't be batting at 7, he should be up the order where he usually plays at FC. Kabir Ali is a better bat and has taken more wickets than Mahmood, Mahmood goes for too many more than Kabir. We saw what happened when Blackwell batted at number three, he fluffed it and showed that his batting at Internation level appears not to be up to it.

| Solanki should open with Strauss, and leave out Prior and bring in Bell. If its a spinning pitch we should play two spinners. I think the best line up would be: Strauss Solanki Bell KP Colly Freddie Jones Blackwell Ali Plunkett Anderson

| Even though there are players missing and the odis were not planned by someone with a full deck of cards right after the tests.. i meant what were they thinking... we are going to have a gruelling test series in india.. against heat and exhaustion and the loss of key players and then we will go play 7 ODIS great job ppl. I still believe England has it in them to regain some lost pride if nothing else.. i dont think this should be a whitewash and atleast some lads in the team would want it the other way around.. although most of them just look beat. Plus nobody considers ODI cricket to be serious these days.. well guess what the world cup is going to be ODIS england better win some if they want to have a chance against these teams in the west indies... or maybe their world cup is the ashes.. i dunno really it is just a really bad moment for them right now.. still i hope they win

| Englands batting is shockingly fragile at the moment. Last edited by Crunchy : 06-04-2006 at 06:23 AM. |

| 189/6 after 38 overs.. If they dont lose anymore wickets, there is no reason why the cant score 260/270. And that will be a fighting score.

| Well we will probably lose but i like the look of the batting today.Pietersen,Collingwood and Flintoff at 3,4 and 5 is promising for the future.Add Trescothick as opener and that looks a decent batting line up on paper.Certainly better than one that has had Vaughan or Shah failing at 3 all the time. |

| Well Shah's out of the side finally, but bringing Solanki back in was the wrong choice, Ian Bell deserves a go. Another poor performance coming for out batsmen, still eight overs to go and we are 203-8, Batty! just getting out LBW to Sehwag, Geraint Jones is using a runner, any idea why? Good knock from KP, again the only English bat to make a score. Bring on Matthew Hoggard

| England all out for 237, a daft run results in a run out of Geraint Jones for 49 (Well Strauss his runner). Way below the par score of 271 India will take a lot of confidence in being able to chase this target. The only thing to note, with two spinners in the side England should get 20 economical overs rather than using part timers to fill them out.
