WI 59-0 and Chris Gayle has gone on the rampage to finish the match in the next 20 minutes so they don't have to have a lunch break.

Some pretty good bowling from the Zimbabwe openers in the early overs, Chanderpual and Gayle were very watchful as the ball swung away from them; a few dropped catches off Chris Gayle haven't helped but the effort in the field has been impressive.

Give it five overs and we'll have a resut.

Gayle out for 41 - it seems only a minute ago that he was on 5 runs, some very fast-paced scoring.

Lara has arrived at teh crease and is playing some shots - lovely square cover drive.

Two absolute beauties from Lara over long on and long off to finish off the match before lunch.

Windies win by nine wickets - Zimbabwe had absolutely no reply in the end.

What about Rudi Koertzen's beard? Someone is preparing for December 25th.

its really a pity see matches like the one happened between zim and winides
as one of the commentator(i guess barry richards )states even a school boys team from australia, england or south africa could beat this zim side very easily,it sounded true after watching their batting display
why don't zim administrator get back streaks, whittalsa dn flowers again
by making this kind of mismatches the icc going to lose whatever the followers they have for cricket matches(espcecially in sub continent)
it would be lot better if teams like zimbabwe are allowed to play a-teams from the top 8 nations regularly before they can be put into this kind of championship
even the bangla vs lanka match was not as exciting as some of you here writing after 20 over bagladesh were 60 odd runs for 4 wickets so after that whatever the runs they scored were purely because of complacency of lankan bowlers
players like aftab and reza were the only shinging light for bangla's were over rated ashrafuls, habibuls are no international class
icc should not kill this kind of tournament for the sake of money and extra matches
for comparison in football worldcup even a lower ranked debutants trinidad and tobago displayed excellent skills against their opponents whereas in the so called champions trophy of cricket displays mediocrity and boredom its not good for the world cricket

Zim Vs Srilanka

By all means zimbabwae has given a better account of their talent in this match so far.. they had srilanka at 125/2 in 25 overs with some very good bowling and fielding.. then they let it go for a bit but fought back in the end to have a score of 285 to chase... lets see how their batting does... their fielding is tremendous though. Its the batting that let them down in the last match.

It's a said situation Mr Hutt; Zimbabwe's batting has been simply disappointing in this innings.

Pace bowling nearly all the way so far for Sri Lanka; anything short-pitched and the Zimbabwean batsmen have no idea whatsoever.

Watching the Zimbabwe tail was painful, they haven't a clue and need a long, long time to get one.

For instance, Kumangoz (sp.?) literally will do that, come and go, for a long time. He has 6 runs in professional cricket!

Bangladesh vs West Indies

What a horrible slump. At one stage the Bangladeshi's were 90-odd for one, and then they lost wickets like it was going out of fashion!

125/7 at the moment...with 18 overs still to be bowled.

I only today had a look at the schedule because of all these games featuring weaker nations. I can't believe that the worst teams are playing the most games . This has probably mentioned before on this forum, but i had to have a bitch myself. Can't wait for the IND/ENG game so i can finally (or hopefully ) see some decent cricket
