They are not. There is a qualification round, after which the two worst teams (presumably Zimbabwe and Bangladesh) will go home.

In any case, the "better" teams are all so lazy they'd rather not play in the ICCCT at all... or maybe I have been listening to the English too much!

Maranello, get your ear plugs out! I'm about to have myself a rant.

Well, it's hardly a rant but more of a session of player praising.

Chris Gayle and Shiv Chanderpaul have formed a fabulous opening partnership for the West Indies. And the West Indian bowling is finally starting to work well as a whole unit.

Upul Tharanga is on fire at the moment with the bat. If Jayasuriya gets going at one end whilst Tharanga keeps his run scoring going then SL could post 300+ runs every innings.

I'm really impressed with Aftab Ahmed for Bangladesh; he's got some fine strokes and simply couldn't handle the short-pitched stuff which he will rarely face on the custard tracks of Bangladesh.

West Indies Vs Srilanka

West indies have had a disastorous start to the match with gayle lara chanderpaul and sarawan all out for under 51 runs on the board, seems like the great calypso collapse jinx has not left them yet.. they were doing fine against the minnows... talking bout crushing oppositions and such...seems like they are down and crushed now.

WI 58-7 now and in major trouble with 30 overs of the innings left!

The batsmen were struggling to play the ball in the early overs - Vaas bowled extremely accurately first up and Sri Lanka have never looked back.

Lack of footwork has contributed to most of the wickets. Finally the West Indian batsmen get an opportunity to set the target and they have no idea how to go about it. Plan A doesn't work and they're stuck in the sand without a bucket and spade.

very poor cricket by windies batsmen,it was not as bad a wicket as the score card suggests
may be bit slower and lower but still no excuse for getting all out in 80 runs
i doubt their chances in this tournament
they have to beat either india or australia to get qualify for the last 4(i feel they should easily win the match agaisnt england)it won't be easy thing if they continue to play the way they did today
