| Has anyone got any background on how this tournament is played and why there are so few players playing? |

| It's a six-a-side tournament as far as I'm aware, the title is a bit misleading so I'll change it. It is a five-overs a side series, with the nine teams arranged into three pools. Each member of the team has to bowl one over (excluding the wicket-keeper). Batsman have to retire at 31, amongst other (slightly bizarre) rules included here: http://uk.cricinfo.com/db/ARCHIVE/20...ONDITIONS.html

| SA Squad Nicky Boje (c), Imraan Khan, Lance Klusener, Albie Morkel, Justin Ontong, Thami Tsolekile, Johan van der Wath Morne van Wyk would have been my option as 'keeper. But Thami it is then... I reckon the selectors didn't want another Eagle in the side, seeing as there's 2 already. |

| I don't think it's an ICC event is it? Just a knock-about that has been going on for a while in Hong Kong - a fun day out, and not taken seriously by anyone, including the audiences. I've never been, but I believe it is a bit like the rugby sevens - where the sport is something of an adjunct to the party spirit. Those who do go invariably enjoy it. But circket purists? Not really!

| No it is not real cricket but I think players chosen for the Sixes could also expect to play in 20/20s for their country. |

| Darren Maddy Luke Wright Dimitri Mascarenhas Tim Bresnan Kabir Ali Alex Gidman Steve Davies Manager: Gatting. |

| Ok... England hand obvious Sixes candidates like Prior and Mustard a place on the Test tour... and then send obvious Test candidate Steve Davies to play sixes - I'm sure it makes sense to somebody... |
