My first post here - hope its not controversial ...

Honestly its too late to do something now - so close to the WC . Geoffrey's call for Fletchers head was expected - not from him - but it was only a matter of time before somebody was fed up with Englands frustrating high-low performance graph and made their voice heard.

Without going into a detailed analysis about Fletchers long stint as Eng Coach , in the short term the worst thing that the E&WCB could do in a knee jerk reaction - is to say something to the effect that they are going to look into that issue . That would really cause a stir cause England have just pulled off a much needed win - against the team defending Champions trophy -Windies (despite perhaps windies being a bit casual) - and at this point the last thing they need is uncertainity about the team.

England have some time now - to regroup before the ashes and they don't want the media to hassle them needlessly before the big series. All this is what you would ideally expect if you were an english fan right now but I reckon there will be some hue and cry in the coming days - especially when the Series is about to begin which will put everybody under pressure.

Fletcher has had a purple patch recently and I think his position must be reviewed only after the WC and not before that . For now the entire English cricket team and its support staff could use some time off .
