lol... hache i lost my cup of tea to the shagging viciously part hahahahhaha

good one... i dropped my cup hehe

obviously this will be a low scoring match.. what will be interesting is can we make the 80/90 run total set to us... makes little sense when i say this now but wait till pakistan bats and ntini and pollock are bowling. i think the english fans should see this pitch and wonder why we dont make more like this.. one.

Well Sir! when your team is doing really good in an important game like his, a passionate fan may gets overboard

In spite of good bowling show, I'm aware of all the yester years failures of Pakistan chasing modest targets. Quickly comes to mind is their 150 odd Test series winning target against Saffers at home back in 1997...

so I'm prepared for a hard fought and earned target chase by Pakistan.

Smith has done a Ponting here, silly decision at the toss. The wicket was as green as you'll get in India and was slightly cracked for very variable bounce, and we have seen that the ball has swung and seamed prodigiously, as well as bouncing high (Dippenaar blow) and low (Kallis getting one in the "sensitive area"). It was and still is a win-toss, bowl-first wicket.

Well bowled Pakistan so far, Gul has been mostly excellent.

IMO, a target around 175 would be a very stiff one! Pakistan gradually getting a bit sloppy in the field again...
5/81 after 23...

On this wicket I would be tempted to agree with you Hache. The grass will still be there, and maybe one or two of the cracks will have opened up to accentuate the variable bounce. Add to that the effect of the lights and it will be difficult for Hafeez and Farhat against the new ball.

Moreover, the dew lets the ball skid a bit more under lights. As one can see from the Bond's fiery spell against Pakistan on the other night. Therefore, another close finish in offings.
5/97 after 29 O.

DomainK, Gibbs really should not have played in this game, his mind is all over with the police investigation and his poor form prior to this tournament. It may have been a better idea to bump others up the order and play Hall since it's a seamers wicket.
