haha... rightly put... IMO, Woolmer & Younis should let Afridi open, allow him to do what he can do best; opening the batting and taking advantage of field restrictions. I'm not counting on Afridi when he's the last recognised left in the middle with 50 odd req at 7 RPO... IF he posted a quick fire 30-40 up there, things would A LOT easier for the rest to follow.... Rao is back.... c'mon take a wicket
5/117 after 32 O.

119/5 currently. It will be interesting to see what happens if these two are still in with 10 overs to go. Kemp is a huge hitter when he has his eye in, and Boucher knows where the boundary is too! The Saffers should be looking at 200-230 here after a good recovery.

SA has maintained a rr of 5.20 in the last five overs. Thats impressive. Any score above 200 will make it a very interesting chase.

Has Jonty Rhodes been sacked by Pakistan? He's been in the South African camp for this tournament so I presume all ties with the Pakistani camp have been cut off?

Mark Boucher reaches his half century; quality knock from the 'keeper, happy to play positively even when SA were on the back foot.

Pakistan are certainly missing Asif and Akhtar big-time in the middle overs. Razzaq is not providing the control that Gul and Iftikhar have shown and Arafat has been appalling. Pretty tidy stuff from the spinners, not much to complain about from them as its better than the back-up seamers can do.

South Africa (Pollock definitely) will look forward to having a bowl on this wicket.

200 has to be the target - and with a century partnership just reached by Boucher and Kemp - it's very reachable for the South African batsmen.

SA is on course to have a score in excess of 220+ which would be a really stiff chase for Pakistan in reply... KEMP is showing his intentions clearly now.... worries for Green Shirts... a wicket somehow is desperately needed...

5/169 after 43 O.

YEEESSS. HAFEEZ CAUGHT BOUCHER'S AIR BORNE AND RAZZAQ GOT A WICKET.......... NEEDED FROM OVERS....

Good comeback there. A century partnership means a lot in this situation.

Rhodes was with Pakistan for a very short period of time. I think it was something like a month.

3-fer for GUL, KEMP hold out on Mid-on...... 8/199, 4 balls intact...
Just what nobody expected. Horrible leg side wide and extra couple.... 8/203
Luck riding Saffer's way... another four... 8/207
Another couple... 8/209
And a boundary to finish.... Photofinish for Saffers... 8/213

213 for Pakistan to surpass and Saffers to safe...

As far as im concerned... this was very dissapointing... to have Saffers for 42/5 and then let them go till 213 was pretty lame by pakistan and yunis khan. Wonder why Umar gul didnt bowl his quota of 10 overs?? or hafeez? they were clearly the best bowlers... yunis dropped a catch as well... well done captain of the future.. leading from the front are you? Pakistan will now really have to bat to win this... i see a short plane trip home tommorow.
