48-8. I just turned this on and cant believe it.

What's happened to Pakistan, did us kiwis crush their spirit the other night. How long until the match fixing allegations begin?

Its bad batting combined with very good bowling. Apart from Razzaq, no one showed the desire to stay there for sometime. Some heads will roll after this match.

I hear the pitch is a shocker. Looks like only a couple of Saffers got in the runs at all.

Tail end is making a stand which is good to see. I thought NZ was the only country that relied on its tail wagging to make the rest of the team look good.

CT is over with a humiliation for Pakistan. They may have passed their lowest(43) but it again proves sadly that whenever the balls jags Pakistanis find it impossible to counterattack effectively...

Pakistan lowest ever total's prior to this one:

One way or other this would be Pakistan's 7th double-figure score ALL-OUT.....

All focus towards Home Series against Windies, which would be a lot more competitive then the popular consensus

Not at all, it's just not slow and low, which people were expecting all through this tournament and they haven't got today. It has grass and variable bounce, but Boucher and Kemp played pretty well on it. It's not the pitch that is the problem, it's the unwillingness of any of the Pakistan batting lineup to dig in and play through the innings - Younis Khan should have done that but got out playing one shot too many. Maybe it's a technical problem, that Pakistan's players haven't got the defensive game necessary when the top and upper middle order fails? Or maybe they depend too much on Inzamam?

I agree its not the pitch now that I've started watching the match. Batsmen 9 and 10 seem to be going ok on it by applying themselves.

Apart from Razzaq, no one showed the desire to stay there for a while. Its not a pitch where one can play shots at will. But its no excuse for Pakistan's failure. It was avery bad batting display that showed lack of strategy, application and skills.

Gul and Arafat survived more deliveries than the top six batsmen together.
