| Well, aren't England doing so well after that fantastic start. Not. Strauss and Bell played really well and started at a blistering pace, setting England up for a comfortable (it seemed) run chase. Now, having lost Flintoff and Collingwood in quick succession, and losing Bell to the run rate, England need over a run a ball again! ![]() As for the decision to promote Collingwood up the order: I think it was probably a sensible thing to do under the circumstances to bring in a steady player to accompany Bell, but IMO Collingwood thrives more under pressure after a collapse. Bringing him out ahead of KP with no pressure on his shoulders probably was misguided in hindsight. As for the West Indies, after the first drinks break their fielding improved noticably, Sarwan in particular stopped several certain boundaries from Bell and Strauss in the following overs. Whatever Lara said to them during that drinks interval certainly worked, the team's heads rose again once the flow of runs had been stemed. Personally, I'm glad to see Bravo has finally earned a maiden ODI ton, repaying Lara's faith in promoting him to number three.

| I don't think there is much that could be complained about with Collingwood being promoted above KP considering that's what we've all wanted (well, at least a KP/Flintoff gap anyway) but it was probably the wrong decision in the end. Mike Yardy finally(!) gone, he couldn't rotate the strike for toffee. The catch (to get Yardy out) certainly looked like it bounced on the ground first but I think it's better for England to have Dalrymple there rather than Yardy. 7.5 r.p.o. required.

| 6/228 with Kp going strong and Read just nudging to get former on strike, hopes are stil on for England. 45 from 36... I'd say bring on Jerome from other end... Boy this game is really getting interesting..... and just as I write... read scooped one to Gayle..

| There goes Read, fooled finally by Bravo's slower ball. Bravo had been bowling quite a few and Read had been failing to pick them, and Read's pretty rubbish tournament comes to an end. At least Mahmood's going for it, 6 from 3 already!

| That was very close. That ball was going to hit the middle stump and I have no idea why the umpire called that not out. Mahmood gets a life.

| And a leg bye for his troubles as well! With KP there England should (touch wood) be OK.
