| What an innings by KP. Great batting. The four and the six were spectacular. Great innings KP....and Mahmood just finished it off. That was good cricket from England.....but a little too late.

| Typical England really. They finally play one-day cricket as it supposed to be played too late to make a difference. As Daryll Cullinan said on DAB Radio earlier in Pietersen's innings: He is due a big one. He still didn't quite get to his fourth ODI hundred (a milestone he hasn't reached since that South Africa series) but he has certainly won the match for England, with brilliant support from Strauss and Bell. With Flintoff coming through two short bowling spells unscathed, it's been a pretty good day for England.

| I was pleasantly surprised by the attacking intent in our innings in the first powerplay, though Freddie was an absolute nugget to pick out long on when he was looking good and had his choice of boundary placings! We played well overall, and well done Mahmood for figuring out which end of a bat to hold! Pietersen was immense and paced his innings well. Colly was loose first ball but these things happen, but Read is not good on his slower balls is he?! Good performance by us, but too little too late from the ODI side again. |

Good to see KP back to doing what he's good at. Shame neither Bell nor Strauss managed to push on again. We have to get players going on to big scores, forties and fifties are no good at the top of the innings. Colly won't do that too often so no worries there. Dalrymple does a good job with the ball, I'd like to see him reverse sweep less though. The Windies did to Yardy's bowling what every county side does - he doesn't bowl his full quota of overs for Sussex so why we expect him to do it for England is beyond me. Both he and Dalrymple need to work more at playing for singles. Mahmood just bowls too much rubbish, some great deliveries (Lara done like a kipper!!) but far too much rubbish. Jimmy Anderson bowled very poorly on Saturday, without GBH in the side he's the senior paceman and should bowl better than that. Typical of England , though, to bat properly when there is nothing to play for. Let's hope they can do that in the VB Series and The World Cup when it matters. |

| When Trescothick returns Yardy will go, I'm sure of that. Dalymple is bowling too well and with Freddie back we won't need Yardy. He didn't look at all convincing with the bat in any of the games he has played, but his bowling can develop and has been promising. |
