This reminds me of the quarter final of the world cup in 96 when the West Indian spinners (two parttimers) pinned down a previously unbeatable South African side in the run chase. Lara scored a scintillating century in that game to give the WIndies a good total. I feel he will have to do the same today.

Possible but these two are giving SA a shout. It all depends on the early bowling from SA.

I think South Africa are well on top here John. My point was that Lara scored a hundred of 80 balls in that World Cup quarter final and it was the only way they won that game. I still think, unless Lara does something equally special, 240 will be too many.

Devillers gone but he has helped put us in the frame. Anything over 230 and we might have a chance.

Good Total by S.A well batted Gibbs.. finally lol

WI need 259 to win... and are they on their way... its 81 off 12 overs for naught.. another 12 like this and the match is finished... fearsome power hitting in the start by the windies

Amazing start to West Indies reply.

Game over if it carries on for much longer.

Yes, SA are getting murdered. I think that this game is over already. I must ask the question as to why Nel is playing when Langeveldt clearly bowled better than him in the previous game and Langeveldt also has a good record against West Indies. Poor selection IMO.

So it will be Australia vs West Indies in the final.

Oh dear, oh dear. Looks like a West Indies vs Australia rematch for Sunday. Should be good.

Great batting from both openers. They made the bowlers look ordinary. The final will be interesting.
